Even looking at the color of cooked beetroots makes you think that they must be nutritious. That is indeed the case as the food color reflects its quality and a number of antioxidants it has. But apart from antioxidative properties, beets also abound with fiber and minerals. It does not really matter if you consume them raw or cooked – prepared beets do not lose their nutrients.
100 g plate of beetroots contains just 40 kilocalories. If you think that you are not made for beets, try beetroot juice instead.
