Piece of Fabric Attached to New Clothes
All new clothing has a small plastic bag with a piece of extra fabric attached to one of its inside seams. If you think that this chunk of textile is given in case of your clothes get a rip, you are wrong. Even if this is the first thought that comes to our minds, the manufactures bore in view quite a different idea. They do not really want us to mend our torn down pants or shirts with this patch, but wish us to test how fabric behaves after washing (and may be ironing). Even if they put all the signs about the clothes’ treating, seeing once is always better for you than reading about it many times. It remains only to guess why producers don’t want to write about the intended purpose of this patch on their clothing labels where they put sometimes far too much information.
